We've got Deer!
Our privately owned property consists of 500 ± acres of prime hunting grounds inside the Wayne National Forest. As a deer hunting (or turkey) outfitter, we are committed to providing you with a quality hunt. Deer and turkey thrive in Athens County! We scout constantly and set out feeders in the most productive areas.
We believe in providing our hunters with the space and liberty to create their own great hunting experience. Hunting on our property will be 100% fair chase, so we can't make any guarantees on the harvest. However, we will do our very best to get you on a great deer.
Location, Location, Location
Wayne National Forest has the distinction of being Ohio's only national forest. Frequently referred to simply as "the Wayne", the forest is neatly tucked away in the Appalachian foothills of southeastern Ohio. The Wayne is divided into three districts and covers nearly a quarter of a million acres. Our property is located within the Athens district.
The Wayne is a mixture of open land and dense forest providing a wide variety of wildlife habitats.
Common wildlife includes white-tailed deer, turkey, ruffed grouse, gray fox, gray squirrel, opossum, and black bear.
Ohio is a top trophy whitetail destination and the Wayne National Forest is the best place to find deer in Ohio!
The state of Ohio utilizes an excellent deer management program which is designed to control the state's deer herd by harvesting does, while maintaining a very conservative buck harvest. Hunters are allowed to harvest one buck in Ohio per year. This allows for a balanced population while maintaining the necessary conditions to produce world class deer.
